Driving home, my daughter Sarah and I were talking about places to eat and she started gushing about tapioca pudding that she had eaten at a Chinese restaurant.Tapioca pudding, a family tradition that has not passed on. Will was the one who loved it the best, but Timm had the most memorable experience with this old fashioned dessert. Long ago, when Timm must have been in his early to middle teens he decided to raid the fridge. At that always hungry stage, he spotted a bowl of tapioca pudding sitting in the fridge presumably for dessert that night. Timm carefully removed the plastic wrap covering, scooped out and ate a generous spoonful of ...chicken fat. Timm confessed this many years later. At the time we could not figure out why Timm suddenly refused to eat another bite of chicken.
(Note from David: I loves my tapioca too!)
