Calling All Memories

Anyone reading this blog, please share your memories of Timm, whether slight or significant, in passing or in depth.

Some find great solace in these memories. How did you know Timm, what is most memorable to you? How did he help you, what did he love to do?

Timm was a private person in many ways, yet he was outwardly engaged and hard-working. Can you tell me in what ways? Where was he most victorious? Who did he help most?

And what did he struggle with? What was he cynical about or had developed a harder, more experienced line on? Timm's heart struggled, obviously -- I'm pulling together the best evidence I can on the whys and hows -- were there defeats, depressions, blues, pet peeves?

What were his passions? What did he love to sing? Where were his favorite retreats in the wild? His favorite scriptures or passages in the AA literature? What books was he reading? He didn't own a pet, but sure took lots of pictures of animals -- and kids -- along with the natural wonders. Why? What did he dream of doing next? What kind of cooking was he into, how did he like his coffee, what music was he really into? (Tracks from Pat Matheny's album "As Witchita Falls, So Falls Witchita" album were the last ones he listened to on his laptop iTunes, around 7 a.m. Thursday morning, April1 17 ... anyone know what he would have been doing about then--getting around for work , driving to his morning AA meeting, what? )

Maybe this seems like a lot of small stuff, but all of the pieces count. They help create a durable memory. For those of us who knew Timm and didn't, it helps. It's not really enough -- sufficient magnitude of Timm is lost forever -- but memories of him can live on.

At least, that's the idea here. Email whatever you have to dcohea789@yahoo.com.

Thanks, and seize the day ...

David

p.s. if you didn't read the blog over the weekend, be sure to scroll down and read Timm's "The Other." And interesting inner piece of our friend and brother and lover.
