He must have been a beautiful baby

Over the weekend I scanned a number of photos of Timm's childhood. Back in 1988, Mom assembled photo books for each of us kids and sent them to us. Timm's book was found in his living room after he died, which to me means he looked at the pictures from time to time, or shared them with others. Today I include some of Timm's infant and toddler pix.

Molly and Timm. Well, he must have been a beautiful - toddler.

Older brother Will holds Timm in the big window of our Evanston, IL, sunroom.

Timm was born with curly hair. He had it til his first haircut -- note the straighter locks in later pix -- though in later years when he grew his hair long those curls returned.

Penned up and seeking a way out: Timm's love of adventure is evident from the beginning.

Timm with Dad.

First birthday. Timm was such a pretty infant, Molly says, she remembers being asked about her younger sister.

Mom and Timm, who appears ready (again) to roll. After his first haircut.

Timm with Ravel, Molly's first poodle.

Chowing down. Timm loved his grub.

See what I mean?

That's me holding Timm; Molly holds her own kid (yes, quite prophetic).

Me with Timm at Christmas. When do get to open presents?

This is one of my favorite childhood shots -- me, Timm and Will -- the boys -- with Shep, our beloved family dog. I know it's just the cast of light in the photo, but it has a golden feel to it, whatever conflicts there were cropped out of the frame (surely Will and I would tussle later on), and Timm in the middle, serene.
