A little hiatus here while my wife and I take a few days off to vacation at Amelia Island north of Jacksonville. Timm took the photo above from the opposite coast -- these beach walkers head to an ocean to our left while our Atlantic is to the right of this page -- however the joy of being exactly here is both Timm's and mine, celebrating the washes of the great water, the sea wind and a great light filling the lens. I'll be back in a couple of days with news of Timm's trip to Khazakstan a few years back. For now I log off, shut down this laptop (with its desktop image of Timm walking on a Pacific shore in the deep hues of dusk), go wake my wife and head down to the beach, to walk and talk and live the wonder Timm also loved.
