Here are our newest additions, Hugo and Silk: tiny furball and svelte Calico. We adopted them from the Cat Protection Society last week and have been trying to keep up with their antics since. Hugo got sick almost immediately with some kind of parasite -- stopped eating, blood in his urine -- but has rebounded nicely after we got antibiotics from the vet. Silk had fleas real bad but we've given her a pill that helps. Violet, our Siamese, is immensely put out but we hope she's beginning to at least tolerate the presence of new felines. These kittens rollick all over the place, especially Hugo. What a big baby. They both show great potential for becoming lap kitties, something we haven't had around here since Beth's Himalayan Buster passed away in 2000. After Zooey our Calico passed away a few weeks ago, we were desperate to bring new life into the house. Well, we sure got it.
