A resting place for Timm's ashes

Most of Timm's ashes travelled back to Columcille in Pennsylvania, where Dad lives and a park/sanctuary has been labored over for the past 30 years. There is a fieldstone chapel in the woods where there are five crypts, and a portion of Timm's ashes were interred there last week.

Back in Oregon, Timm's girlfriend Christie plans a ceremony to scatter another portion of Timm's ashes on a spot in the wilderness he was fond of.

The stone which covers Timm's crypt was inscribed with three symbols: a man riding a dolphin (found on Dad's O'Cobhthaigh family crest), the dolmen known as Thor's Gate (just up from the chapel atop a standing-stone-studded incline called the Glen of the Temple) and a Celtic cross.

The chapel is a deeply resonant, meditative space Much healing has gone on within it; lots of singing, too. Timm will help mediate both now.

Eventually Dad's ashes will join Timm in his crypt.

Another portion of Timm's ashes were interred in the dirt at the back of Cnoc Cobhain, a dolmen set on Signal Hill overlooking the chapel. Here are some pictures of the dolmen.

Thanks to Will for the photos, taken with Timm's former camera.

Looking down on the chapel.
